New Sound Card

Hey guys, I've got some Astro A50's wireless headphones. Do you think I would benefit from a soundcard?

No. USB is best connection for PC use, optical for console. No point in using optical from PC unless there are issues when using USB.

Well i guess im different i still use my Asus XONAR ESSENCE STX II 7.1 SOUND CARD, i have tried loads in the past and this is definatley the best i have ever had.

I wouldn't know, I've never had the need to listen to my own voice like that.

Discord chat feels instant and fluid.

Another good reason for open headphones.
If you have delay between talking and hearing it would be time get head checked...

Sorry I wasn't clear! (unless I have this completely wrong) - when gaming and using the mic to talk to team players using headset with mic, I can hear the sound of my own voice in the audio. Otherwise I would talk and hear the game audio but not my own voice. (This is harder to explain than I thought). Its like having Listen on or off in the mic settings in Win 10.

What I was getting is a delay between optical out>amp>headphones in conjunction with onboard sound mic and hearing my own voice in the mixed audio in game. With listen off and using closed cans, I would talk normally but its all muffled plus the game capture wouldn't include my own voice even though using Discord.

Yeah, clear as mud.
