Looking to upgrade to a new machine but was only aiming to spend around 1k all in. As per usual got carried away and went a bit over :(.

Anyone able to help with respeccing slightly to get as much performance from the following spec but get it under 1k? Machine is used for pure gaming.

Really want to keep the case although have realised the case and PSU are costing me £160 ... but i really like the case (missus has 1 and it looks awesome).

How much performance lose would it be to drop down to a GTS or a GT?

Any advice appreciated

Steve

Cheers for the replys guys:)

Ive just remembered ive already got a Scythe Ninja http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-003-SY&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=821 CPU cooler that i bought last year that wouldnt fit in my current case. So in theory i can use that and get a OEM cpu.
Would like to get 4gb of ram though as im gonna give Vista a try....

I should have expanded on my setup slightly cause unfortunately i dont think the abit MB will not do what i need. Plan is to run the 2 HDs in raid 0 for perforance and i would also like the option to upgrade to SLI. Gonna check out a few other MBs for cheaper options again.
