So I joined the forums back in February to ask its help on speccing a system to fit my needs. I got excellent replies (See http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=23689726). However, as it does life got in the way and 4 months later and a repaired roof I'm back and hoping if you can help me out again because I don't keep track of the hardware market and you guys know better then I.

Basically, my requirement is the same as last time. I want a silent Intel based gaming system. I just need a chassis and components; I don't need any peripherals or software. I want to comfortably play the latest games and look forward to playing games such as ARMA 3, and Rome: Total War 2 in the near future with good FPS.

So given that, if you had £1000 +- £250, what would you get right now.

Answers on a post-card and after I build I'll let you know how it runs.

Just took a look at the 2 specs posted. I think I prefer RJC's. I prefer the choice of the 7950 over the ''70. When overclocked the 50 is only around 5% less performant then the 70, so it saves a bit of cash, but I think I'll upgrade to a 256 Mb SSD.

Also with my spec the board and PSU can have the ability to add another card in the future if you fancy crossfire.
