New spec ideas

Hi all, my current system is as follows.

C2D [email protected] / 8GB ram / Asus P5k premium wifi-ap/ XFX 8800GTX / 24" Samsung / 3x1TB HD's / Corsair TX650 / Asus Xonar Essence STX / Adam A7's

I use this for all sorts including a lot of photo/image editing and as my main music system.

I would like to upgrade the CPU and if needed the mobo and memory but I am not sure which way to go.

Would an SSD really make much difference to overall system performance.

Any advice on the best upgrade routes available would be really helpful as I am a little behind on current hardware.

I could just put the fastest Quad in and use my existing mobo and ram but would it improve performance that much.

Looking for best bang for buck really but between £200 and £400.

You can get this as best bang for buck.An SSD would improve performance very much but that will take you over your 400 quid.
