just an update. have just moved some cables about and got this now purring.
I have split the load of the card across both psu's. I have one pci-e connector on one psu and the other connector on the other psu.
so have just run a couple of benchmarks and have got these results so far:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9159975 - 45k (almost doubles my previous best which was 24.5k
)
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5242028 -35k (adds another 11K on my previous best)
update:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=2754626 -14.8k (adds around 5k better than my previous)
This just keeps getting better and better.
completely crushes my old system which was still fairly decent:
3500+ (winnie)/3GB RAM/7600GT's Sli'ed
update 2:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1368610 -10.5k (over double my previous best
)
