i'm such a tit. i tried the test over wireless and was wondering why my speeds had halved. ......it's because i have a monitor connected to my laptop and i had the lid shut. :D opened the lid and it was back to normal.. :o

Not doubting but, surely the second test can't be with anyone hardly on the network as its only 7 minutes before the first test :P, also is it possible that the pc only has a 100mbit ethernet port/ cat5 cables? maybe you could get that higher? :o
 
Put my work connection on the speedwave, although its not really behaving itself this morning; have had it do more like 80 up 60 down previously.
Will update it a few times today to see if its just a high utilisation due to backups this morning.
