New SSD and AHCI

Hi Guys.I get my big foot on monday.I would like to install with AHCI but I got no floppy drive anymore.If I go to make disk it always ask me for a floppy drive and doesnt give me the option for usb pen.What else can I do ? :confused:

Isn't it only old Nforce boards that needed a floppy disk for this?

Asus maximus X38 and yes Win 7

The X38 chipset should be supported by the built in AHCI drivers in Windows 7, you shouldn't need to present any drivers to the installer.

Just Intel RST drivers after install Win7 right?

A USB stick should work for Windows 7 as it's what I use, make sure legacy USB is enabled in the BIOS.

EDIT: Ah I see, what you should do is manually copy the driver files over to the USB stick, what controller do you have?
