Hi All,

Noob question here. I've just got a SSD and done a fresh install of Windows. Should I format the HDD I was running before (I'm keeping it for storage etc.). I haven't got anything really essential on there, but it would mean reinstalling a few programs. So is there any benefit, or can I just delete the stuff I don't need (OS for example).

Thanks :)

Looks like you might be right. So the HDD is showing in disk management as having 100MB system reserved - this is only necessary on the drive with the OS isn't it? So if I wanted to format the HDD for storage only, then can I get rid of that, and if so how do I do it?

If the data doesnt matter, sure. There should be other utils available that can alter partitions or in your case delete and reallocate the space
