New SSD needed. What's the best make and model ?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my SSD... I bought one years ago and it has done well actually, Crucial M4, but as prices were quite steep back then it's only 128GB can you believe it and I'm fed up with the 3-10GB of free space now (shuffling stuff onto other drives etc.)

So... need a bigger capacity SSD as my OS drive. What's the best make and model these days ?

Looking to buy around a 1TB drive, don't mind spending around £100ish, maybe £140 if the Samsung 1TB Evo is any good?
 
In my experience the Samsung and Crucial drives are great - although having said that when I went to a 1TB the SanDisk Ultra was a decent price and hand on heart I couldn't tell you there was any difference in performance!

If you are looking for straight up speed then the M.2 is probably what you want but again I couldn't tell you if there was much difference in real-world applications!
 
Best would be 860 Pro then 860 Evo if cost is not issue and assuming your talking 2.5".

!TB is fairly prices for most SSD's its 2TB upwards it can get expensive.
