Fresh install, are these figures right? I couldn't see any option in the bios to change SATA-1 to AHCI?

you can compare with other peoples in this thread.

My new intel x25-m 80GB gives very similar results to yours. Im not sure why our 4k-64 scores are so low when others are getting over 100mb/sec in the above link. I dont even know what 4k-64 is :rolleyes:

It's 64 simultaneous threads of 4K reads or writes.

I've only tested my 160GB G2 using AHCI. 135MB/s R 58MB/s W.

ahhh neat.

anyone any ideas why both of us get such poor 4k-64 scores?

im using the SATA ports on my p755d mobo. i7 860 2.8Ghz, and 8GB G. skill ram, windows 7.
