New SSD..Which controller?

Hello chaps,

I think my OCZ vertex 2 has died,It suddenly dissapeared from the Raid array and says "Failed",It also doesnt show on its own in another machine..so going to RMA.

In the case they wont replace it though,Id be looking to get a replacement.
Ive not been keeping up with the latest SSD releases so which controller should i be looking at?..they all have diffrent ones.

Phison controller
SandForce SF-2281
Marvell
LAMD SSD controller
Indilinx Controller

Also i noticed some have "Buffer" and some dont,Does this really improve performance/reliability?

Looking at all the SSD,s on here,The Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO looks the best in performance and has 512mb cache buffer (Although not sure what this does) for the price.

250GB is plenty for me,Shame they're out of stock.

Well i just decided to go for the Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO,From what i hear its a VERY fast drive.

One of those alone is much faster than my OCZ Vertex 2s in Raid 0 plus its 250GB so..
