Hey guys, I have a pretty decent (aging now mind) build - Phenom II x6 1055T @ 4.3Ghz, 8GB XMS3 @ 1800mhz, Asus RoG 890FX, AMD Radeon 6970GB

Basically I'm having to use an old laptop HDD atm as my last power supply died and took my ssd with it, I am looking into a new SSD now, question is..

My system is currently very, idk, sluggish? Slow to start, takes ages to load a program up, sometimes windows will randomly white out and stop responding if I swap too quick, is this gonna be because of my rubbish hard drive do you reckon?

Thanks

Set your SATA ports to 'AHCI' mode in the bios to get best performance from SSD's (and hard drives)

Also, good idea to remove other drives when you're doing the Windows install, to prevent the boot files going on another drive.

Put the SSD into SATA Port0 (the first port) -assuming it's SATAIII rated.
