New SSD

Hi

Currently I have a Samsung 840 pro 256gb SSD as my sys drive and use a Seagate ST1000DM003 3.5 inch 1TB Barracuda Hard Drive as the HDD for game installs.

So I was thinking of upgrading the HDD to a Samsung 850 Evo 1Tb to get better load time in some games.

The question I was looking for some advice for was should I install the 850 Evo as a system drive, or keep the Samsung 840 pro to do that job? Would it be any benefit?

Any thoughts would be great

if I was you I would keep the 840 pro as your main OS SSD and then use the 1tb SSD for storage.

if you're gonna go for a 1tb ssd, just use that as the main drive for OS and games
(that's what i do - and i also have a 1tb hdd to store large media files)

You really do not need an ssd for storage.

I'd just get the 1TB drive and sell the 256GB SDD and 1TB HDD.

No point selling a 1TB hard drive.

Keep it for backups.
