NEW STEAM DEALS!!!!

Any guesses on which games will be available today? =)

If Trine isn't up, I'm just going to buy it, as I'm unsure if they'll refresh the deals tomorrow. As said above, "Ends on the 3rd".

So at 5pm today it'll spin over into a new series of daily deals, will the same happen at 5pm tomorrow, or will that be the end of it?

I want to get batman:AA, but it hasn't been solo reduced, so I might buy the idiots pack instead as it is included, just wondering if today is the last set of daily deals at 5pm, or if there will be another chance tomorrow?

Idiots pack? Why on earth would you say that?

*Bangs head against wall*

If you're reusing the same details that have worked previously and Steam are saying you're making a failed purchase what does that mean? Either Steam is broken (not out of the question) or your bank is declining the transactions. How difficult is that to understand?

Not hard, it's just that you were implying in your previous post, that the problem is with my bank, when it's clearly steam messing up. That's it. :).

My money would be on the top one. The bank details he's using are correct as he bought Mass Effect, the block was put back on after that, which means another invalid transaction was attempted which caused Steam to flag it as suspicious.

No the block was put on automatically. They said I can only make one more purchase before it's locked again.

Jynmagic,

I have been using steam for a long time yet when I tried to purchase Dragon Age using the previously remembered details it failed. Checked them and tried again and failed. Switched to buy using paypal instead and it worked. All my monthly payments via card after that also failed so I called my bank and the steam purchase had triggered something anti fraud measures and I once I advised my bank that it was indeed me who attempted the purchase they removed the bar.

I guess if you keep trying on steam while bank has temp blocked the card then steam's own anti fraud will kick in?

I'm using paypal :).

For those that don't know and to avoid getting your steam account stolen make sure you have verified your email with steam.

This was only implemented middle of 2009 but it means if you want to change your steam login password you need to verify the change via email giving you another level of security.

Just thought I'd mention it as were all adding loads of games to our steam account and losing it all would be a disaster.

I know not essentially a deal but is anyone interested in splitting a 4 pack of Left for Dead 2? it will save us all £5.50 off of the RRP.

Works out at £16.90each, and im happy to buy the 4 pack and do the gifting......

Thanks. I just did that.

Has anyone just bought something from Steam? I'm trying to, but I keep getting the error 'There has been an internal error initializing your transaction. Please contact support for assistance.' :o
