Hi,
I have just built a new pc system which includes:
Asus Maximus IV Extreme Intel P67 (Socket 1155) Rev. 3 motherboard
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
2x Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "Phantom" 3072MB GDDR5 in SLI
Kingston HyperX 240GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Drive
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Sound Card (although i found out that there is no space for this but this is no problem since i will sell it) (i did try to insert the card in an empty PCI-E (16x & 8x slot) but did not work.
When i installed Windows 7 64bit, i got blue screens when tried to install the latest Nvidia drivers. All i can install is the 177.33 drivers. When i also tried to install the sound card or even the on board sound i got nothing.
The thing is that when i installed Win 7 32 bit everything worked fine with no problems. Sound was working and i could install the 280.26 Nvidia Drivers.
I am now thinking of buying the Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Soundcard instead of using the onboard sound since it will be better especially for gaming and i will try again to install Win 7 64bit. Hope this will work.
