New system build

on his test bench yep, and he only changed that after he got the sponsor
i think he uses a noctua in his pc

it does kinda make sense on a test bench tho, easy to put to the side
still love u tom ><

I've just ordered with the basket Stulid provided ;)

It's funny about the PSU, it was the only component I had recommended to me. Guess I won't be asking that person for suggestions again :p

I will do my best to do a build log and take pictures. These will however need to be taken on my phone as my camera is currently broken :(

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, much appreciated :D

You are welcome....great price for the CPU too :D

Oh one last tip......your free mat may curl at the edges once you get it out on the desk. Roll it back the other way and stick it back in the tube over night to level it out. Enjoy the build, I look forward to seeing it :)

if it had better stock fans atleast, i wuldnt be so down on it
but 100pounds+ to get it to perform close to a good air cooler is just so lame
the antec or the h40 is it? the one without the fan, im cool with that

corsair fanboys! :o

The H100 has a 240mm rad which is the biggest so best for cooling. The Antec 920 is only a 120mm rad but still has two fans supplied, this will fit almost any case. The Zalman has a 120mm rad but it's a little thinner, with only the one fan. The other cheaper CLCs rads just get thinner and thinner if you look ;)

So I had all the parts eventually delivered at the end of last week because originally the wrong case was sent out, so everything arrived in time for me to build over the weekend. No real build log, but here's the before and after :)

Nice! :)

Loving the white LED fans have to say, are they 140's? Hono knows how useless I am with fans :p

Also is the fan on the side vent loud? And is there a dust filter on there?

They are 120's, already considering upgrading the fans :D
The 200mm side panel fan is not very loud in my opinion, but with noise from TV, PC speakers and general noise in the house I find the PC to be almost silent :p
No dust filter on the side panel, which I am a bit concerned about. Should really read up on what can be done about that.

Thanks, still looks a little messy to me :p

I haven't been able to test it an awful lot yet due to work, but hope to at the weekend.

Any recommended software I could use to test the CPU/GPU? I used Easy Tune 6 which came with the motherboard to overclock the CPU to 4.3GHz and not had any crashes yet and CPU temps during normal use (internet, etc) still around the 30 deg mark.

Sorry I didn't mean tidy as in neat & tidy... Jesus dude it is a shambles in there and you should hang your head in shame.
I meant tidy as in bang tidy :D

Haha, well I guess the mess from the PSU is my main issue with it being only semi-modular, but apart from chopping off cables I think I'm stuck with that :D

Bit of a neat-freak ;)

Forgot to mention that MAX CPU temp running at 4.3GHz has been 70 deg so far, think that's okay....
