I'm helping a friend who is so indecisive around build parts,

He's looking to spend around £1100-1200
doesn't need speakers, monitor or KB/M

    What can everyone recommend?
Will be used for probably 1440 gaming at most for the next few years

    Cheers

Practically identical to the one above:

    My basket at Overclockers UK:
    Total: £1,115.96 (includes shipping: £11.10)

You could revert to the 3600 to save some cash. Another option would be to add a beefier PSU and lower latency memory, but see what others say. I haven't bothered with the case as it's a personal choice but I might throw in a suggestion later. :)
