Hi there, i'm looking to do a gaming system build and i need your help. I don't really know where to start if I'm completely honest as i have little to no knowledge of what's considered decent at this moment in time.

  • Budget is 2000 (would go more if its worth it)
  • It needs to be as quiet as possible but still air cooled (all in one units are fine though)
  • I like the idea of SLI/crossfire if its worth it
  • I really want a 120Hz monitor (or higher) but no bigger then 24"
  • Don't need any other peripherals.
  • Im looking to order ASAP (as soon as one of you nice peeps give me something to work with) but if there is some kind of imminent hardware release thats worth waiting for then let me know.

Any help with this would be massively appreciated

YOUR BASKET
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £79.99

That would be a better choice for your spec :) Better internals, and a much better manufacturer.
Also the retail cpu and H100i works out the same price pretty much.

So my budget is kind of forced upon myself because i dont want to go too mental but having said that, i cant help myself. I am thinking about going for what ExtremeIC3cream posted but with a second card for SLI and also doubling up the RAM.

am i being stupid?

16GB of Ram isn't required for Gaming but it would be good for future proofing I have 16GB of RAM myself as I do some photo editing etc. Some games benefit from SLI more than others such as Battlefield 4 will hit around 120 FPS but games like Crysis 3 you might only get 20 more FPS for £560 price tag. I myself wouldn't do SLI unless I was loaded but if you have the cash go ahead
