New System Help

I really hope someone can shed some light on an issue i'm having.

I recently bought some components to upgrade my PC, all the parts are in but it won't go past the very first boot screen. I can't get into BIOS or anything. I've checked and rechecked everything's connected ok and it seems fine.

I know this might be a daft question but could the case be causing an issue as it's a few years old and wasn't the best case in the world then. The only reason i'm trying to avoid replacing the case is so my better half doesn't know I've upgraded! (Sneaky I know!). If it is the case though I'll just have to go with it and get a new one.

The system specs are:

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)

Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair VX 450W ATX PSU (CMPSU-450VXUK)

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler (Socket 478/754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)

Intel Core 2 Duo E2140 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.60GHz (800FSB) - Retail

The case shouldn't be causing an issue at all. Try resetting CMOS first and recheck the 20/24 pin power and the 4 pin power connector on the motherboard.
