Wasnt too sure where to place this. so here we go, just wanted to let you guys be aware of the trouble i am having whilst ordering and waiting for my new system,

So i have been running a Rubbish shelf stock Compax 1.8ghz two core.. with a 9800GT which makes gaming only bareable...

Time to get a new system, after a few hour looking around various websites for custom computers for gaming came across the good sites, Ocuk, etc, and after lookign at the customizable options and prices, i found that Shitplanet came to give me the best for my money and so i ordered my system, read terms and conditions, and noted the *7 - 8 WORKING DAYS*

After i order.. i read reviews warning death if you order from this company and think SH&$, But i give them the benefit, and hope i dont get the problems of waiting months for a system to turn up, and then for it not to work, send it back, wait another month, finally recieve it back damaged, parts missing etc and still unworking, then find out the 7 days return is over,

And so a week after ordering had gone passed and i hadent recieved an email or on their site trackign system saying the build had begun, i phoned them up and got the " im only a receptionist" and that a callback would take 7 hours to speak to one of the employees.. i just ended the phonecall, got a one line email saying it had begun building process, near a month on and the system still hasnt been built, never mind gone through their "rigorus testing stages"

A few days ago i got an email saying the 700 ocz extreme gamer silcent PSU was out of stock and would take 24 hours to get... so i hold tight, three days later today, its in stock, but now whilst waiting for the PSU, the CPU cooler has run out of stock, This is taking the ****, it could go on forever... they really need to get a system of holding parts for order numbers...

Anyway, I just wanted to enlighten you guys about these fellows, i have been assured their aim is to get the system to me by friday, BUt if the thing dosent work, ill be asking for a full refund right away, as im not playing about anymore, and end up either building my own system with the help of you fellows, or buying from a nicer company.

Few reviews said that Shitplanet refuse refunds to some people and said that the only option was to return it for repair, but ive been in contact with trading standards, and they have informed me that i can, even though its a "customisable service/good" it still would fall under not fit for purpose under new parts and what i was told i was getting,

Ill keep you updated on whats happend:p

sounds like your having a right mare there mate, however the mentioning of competitors might not sit well with the guys on here as its a no no.

Just sack your current order off and order from OcUK, very good service my computer was built and delivered on time

Hi mate, Yeah I sure am, Oh i see, If im asked to remove the names i will,

This sounds pathetic, but im actualy scared to send them a harsh email just incase they decide to do something, seems the ball is in their court, If i dont get the system by thursday/friday ill pull the plugg.

Just sent an ultimatum email asking whats happening to my order, when im getting it or i want a full refund,

If so, Ill be asking what specs i should re order from Ocuk for around £900:D

Just emailed them telling them to cancel my order, and to refund the money paid. And since they havent begun building my system three weeks after it being ordered, this shouldnt be a problem as tey havent actually used any parts etc yet.

although came acorss this while reading their terms

"5.9 In the event of a cancellation, the Supplier reserves the right to invoice the Client for the full Price, notwithstanding that the Specified Service may only have been undertaken in part or not at all."

This is taking the ****, surely they cant "invoice" or keep the full price paid if they havent even built it yet, and i havent reciveved it.

Hopefuly this dosent happen, but can anyone give me any advice ??

If they don't agree to a refund and you don't get your system this week then you could say that you're going to phone citizens advice about taking them to court.

that or you wait for your computer and see what happens.

I've only ever heard bad things about that site, but then again people broadcast complaints more than they do praise.

I always try to give my hard earned to a company who i know and trust will ship when said, and sort problems quickly etc. For instance: I'm spending £130 on a new Razor keyboard, mouse & mat, i could get it all £20 cheaper elsewhere but i'd rather pay the extra £20 here - safe in the knowledge that i'll actually get what i paid for, on time, and if anything goes wrong it gets sorted without quibble.

You've got it bad now but i feel you've probably got worse to come. :(

Personally i'd be on the phone asking for a full refund at this stage. My advise would be to be firm and calm, don't get angry cos that'll just get you even more flustered than you are already.

Get your coin back, buy from here would be my advice. The only thing that would hold an order up here is if you ordered 12 things, 11 were in stock but one wasn't. If every item in your basket is in stock you usually get your parts in a day or two. I must point out that everything i've ever ordered over the years (and that is a LOT) comes the next day.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice ;)

Just phoned, "someone will phone me back to confirm my cancellation"

Trumphs hopefuly :] .. just wasted three weeks though. Missing out on all that fun gaming:mad:

2 minutes ago telephoned ordered:

Razer Lycosa 'Mirror Special Edition' Keyboard
Razer Lachesis Banshee Blue 4000dpi High Precision Gaming Mouse - Retail
Razer Goliathus Alpha Speed Mat Gaming Surface

Order will be with me tomorrow. :D

Got my original PC from Computerplanet. Complete waste, tried to keep me sweet with little freebies. YAY a bunch of blank CD's for a months wait :/
Terrible Tbh.

Cancel the whole order and build yourself, we can advise on what to buy, and it's not that hard to put it together!

Ends up like 20-30% cheaper.

Ging3r. A while back according to reviews, they were using bribes.. to customers and non customers, if you post good reviews on the review sites, they will post you off a 4gb pendrive.... ? enough said ? haha.

When i have confirmtion of the cancel and refund, Ill begin the new system/build

Ok guys, they want to charge a 5% restock fee for the cancel. Thats 45 quid. They are takign the ****. Any advice ?

Concidering the system hadent even began production, and that ive been waiting for three weeks of nothing happening from the day i had ordered.

Just phoned consumers direct...

The guy basicaly said to me that this is a "nasty net/trap" that companies spring on people who cancel their orders... They place it in their Terms and state that if a product dose not arrive within a certain time, you can cancel without a charge, the Terms DO NOT STATE this length of time, but if you cancel the order before this time they charge you their 5% restock charge... and boom... the offical time the consumer direct guy said was 30 days, for me it was 21 days... This is taking the ****.

All i can say is they have wasted three Fu%^ing weeks of my time, Have not started to even look at my system, and are getting 45quid. DO NOT TOUCH THESER GUYS WITH A BARDGE POLE GUYS.

Anyone liv in bolton and wish to give these guys a piece of what i think of them ? HAHA :p

I'd relaly argue the 5% estock fee, what stock, some of the bits you wanted aren't in stock and they aint even started to build it.

Ny first Pc was from a similar sounding outfit, great when you were buying, after sales was atrocious refusing to replace parts and blaming me/software.

a quick google of the competitor reveals nothing but negative press.
only reason I would go with a lesser known company is if they were local.
Did you pay via credit card?

also you will need to remove ll of the store/competitor names from your post ;)

Just done a tidy of names on original post, Ok a further look into their terms, it states a restock fee will be charged on any order ***Returned*** .. i could see that being acceptable, they have to dismantel the system etc, but liek i said, they havent even began to make it. GRRRRRRR. Yes it was paid by credit card. And he stated in the email we will refund you minus this charge.. so it looks like they will do it willy nilly without my concent.

As your contract is effectively with credit company rather than the supplier it may be worth giving the credit card company a nudge. You've got nothing to lose and possibly £45 to gain.

Decline the refund for the moment and take it up with your CC company.

Theres no restock that I can see as they have'nt even started making it.
Jesus they aint even got the parts you wanted!

Have any of the items changed since the options you selected when you ordered?

Can't you get a refund on the basis thye dont have the items you ordered?

Right, email from them, saying they had bought in all the stock to make it, appart from the cooler that was out of stock, Ive still told them ive declined their refund and will be calling VISA tomorro to let them know the order has been canceled and we need a full refund.
