tried poping in the old psu and testing it.?
might be a faulty psu

might be a faulty psu

Might be a RAM issue (especially as you are using 4 sticks).
Try booting with one stick of RAM and upping the memory voltage to the maximum recommended for your RAM modules (if you can get that far to the BIOS)
If it boots, try adding one more module, boot, see if it works and then rinse/repeat for the other ones.
If it fails to work after this, it could be a PSU issue which is best tested by borrowing one from a friend if possible.

So is it just the CPU diagnostic LED which comes on?
Or do they all come on?
Well I think that would signify your CPU has had it, it may go off because its trying to restart itself, and after 2 attempts the m/b gives up and quits itself, but I think its safe to say if your diagnostic CPU LED is coming on, and no others are, and weve ruled out pretty much everything else anyway it points to your CPU having given up the ghost. Go for a new one, either E7300 or one of the E8x00 depending on what you can afford
If you can get too Northampton ill be happy for you to test your CPU in my rig.
Best i can offer but im abit far from Nottingham
