That system looks l like its fine except the graphics maybe. How about buying a graphics card just to boost the graphics and then maybe save up abit more to buy a new motherboard, memory and CPU?

OR you could go about selling the current componants, add the price to your current savings and lash it out on a decent C2D system :D

Cheers guys, changing just the graphics card I have thought about but I am considering a core change this sound interesting, but what's it going to give me that I haven't got remember "bang for bucks".

The CPU should be good for 3ghz+ which should make a fair difference over your current X2, exactly how far you can take it will depend on the chip itself and the cooling in the case.

Your problem here is that your existing Ram is DDR and all but one socket 775 motherboard use DDR2 or DDR3 (wouldn't buy DDR3 yet as it isn't bang for buck) and the motherboard that can support DDR isn't a very good overclocker which would mean that you miss out on one of the major benefits of changing.
