Hey guys

My first post here. Been reading for a while tho. I'm looking at getting a new system in 2 weeks time.

I'm currently changing back to a desktop as I've been on laptops for the last 3 years due to insufficient space. Now I've got more room I'm looking at building a new system. I dont really know too much about building them etc so I thought a post here would be the best solution.

I'm into my gaming and ive got a budget of £1100. Any help or advice on which would be the best system for me for that price would be greatly appreciated.

I have already bought: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-098-SA

Thanks in advance,

i'd go for an i7 bundle with 6gb of ram, 4870 graphics card, something like the coolermaster 520w psu, samsung f1 1tb hard disk, blue ray/dvd drive if you might use it to watch movies etc.

Do you need an operating system ?

Nice spec,

if you need an OS go with Vista Premium 64bit.

as per thundy vista 64 bit to make use of the 6gb of memory.

when you go to buy keep in mind when ocuk change their deals of the week, might be worth waiting if theres nothing you want, but keep in mind u might get unlucky have have things go up in price as well.

For that money I would definately go i7, 6gb ram, 4890 gfx, and maybe even a SSD for OS, along with a normal drive for storage. And i'd try and install windows 7 beta instead of Vista if possible.

Good thing that most of those components are in TWO :p

Yeah I'll be needing an operating system.Think I'll go with the vista 64 bit as i dont know too much about windows 7 at the moment. Thanks for the replies. If possible do you think one of you will be able to design a system for me? It all sounds good but im not sure exactly how to put all this together so a prebuilt would be great

cheers

Ty for that kieves. Going to order the Titan Goliath with a Antec nine hundred, vista 64 bit and ATI Radeon 4870 1024mb. Comes in £15.00 over budget so not too bad at all. :D
