New TF2 game mode?

I prefer demoman and would like him to get a new weapon but its almost guaranteed that the soldier is going to win :p

Hopefully whoever loses will get their 4th weapon in a few months as I'm guessing Valve has finished the weapons unless this update is coming out in a month or so.
 
Looks like it will be a mode where one team is soldier and the other is demo. Could be very interesting.

Hopefully we'll get a few new weapons for them both too. I've always said soldier needs some loving.
 
Wahoo! Sounds like this is going to be good craic.

Edit: Wonder if we could get Link to change the limit caps for both Demo and Soldier on his server?

No there won't, it'll just be achievements for 'kill 500 soliders' as a demo and 'kill 500 demos' as a soldier or something along those lines

New game mode will be Attack & Defend : Capture the Flag. They'll also add a/some PLR (payload race) maps

Hopefully some KOTH maps too, KOTH is so much better than Arena, and they share the same map styles

They're both getting the standard 3 new weapons, one of them will get an extra 4th weapon
 
I didn't think we were getting a new mode with this, I thought it was a week special competition with the winner receiving a new weapon. I was just playing earlier on a standard game mode and had a kill counter for soldier/demo kills.
 
Is TF2 working for anyone else? When I try to open it it says "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time" :(

edit: nvm fixed it, had a hl2.exe process open.
