New ThinkPad X1 extreme

Yes, really interested in this.
I just want to make sure it's thunderbolt ports are 4 lane, then I think I might buy one with 8850, but 8 gig ram and 250gb ssd & then upgrade ram and add a second ssd myself.

Can't justify the 4k screen, but 3 year warranty is nice.
I really like Thinkpads.
I will be connecting a egpu.

Are ThinkPad More reliable then Dell XPS?whats w there customer support like?
Well, Lenovo gives straight away 3 year on site warranty, while Dell seems to be often talking about usual one year warranty shenanigan.
(just like Microsoft for Surface Book)
While EU requires 2 year minimum quarantee.

Though can't complaint about support for Dell U3014 monitor.
First one had some horizontal striping in image in half toward lower left from diagonal and swap went easily.

Myself have started looking for replacement for nearing decade old Thinkpad T500.
X1 Yoga sure looks mighty good for nicely light device also having some table functionality.
With soldered memory would just have to get 16GB memory model for chances for it stay reasonably relevant for long time.
