NEW Titan Pascal (full 3840 shaders) just announced!

The funniest part about this new Pascal Titan is it managed to launch without all the so called experts and clickbait rumour sites spotting it coming.

Yes we all knew that a full fat GP102 chip was going to turn up at some point but none of the above sites spotted it coming.:D

What i think? is just normal for Nvidia always Titan was little better then Ti versions and this year cant be different i think Nvidia dont have plan to make 1080ti but they maybe here something that AMD Vega can be good card maybe little better then gtx 1080 for little more money so they dont want lost this customers and they make 1080ti better than titan x Pascal for 800-900 euros to keep customers because Vega maybe will be not that good how is 1080ti but better then 1080 and will be for similar money.

Indeed, in this day and age it's rather odd to browse online and see a new high end Nvidia card with no warning, rumours or speculation. In honesty I glanced at the date to check it wasn't still near April 1st. But as you say, the chip was bound to turn up - I suppose we all expected it in May instead (to fit with the keynote of the GPU tech conference).

I only found out about it when I was reading the change log on the 381.65 driver and I noticed added support for the Titan Xp , had to google it to find out. Never noticed that coming, at least not this soon.

Agreed. Their business model likely dictates that Titan should always be their best. It's just unfortunate timing for those who have shelled out twice for the best (me included but I have various reasons for doing so).

It's either a very shrewd move on their part or just a poor timing of events. Maybe vega has something to do with it but I'm not really convinced by that.

Problem is that Nvidia is alone now with top graphic cards! if Vega will be similar to gtx 1080ti and will be cheaper so better for us!!! that prices for gtx 1080ti will going down and i wait for that.

Now the original Pascal Titan, is 3rd best. That £1200 plus watercooling outlay, is starting to look expensive for the early Titan buyers.

Indeed, it was likely the other way round with them feeling sorry people couldn't experience that performance for less.

Although there seems to be a notion on here that all Titan buyers use finance and it's worth their monthly pay packet.

Did you know that YOLO originated from those men who were long time incarcerated and were in need of sexual relief? Without any women to get it on with, they turned to other men and YOLO was used by them to try and sanctify, in their heads, what they were about to do.

Well, as long as they got some then I'm ok with it ;) :D

YOLO dude!! :p

I'm quite pleased with myself. It's been over 2 years now since I spent money on GPU's and I still have no plans to get any Pascal part.

Admittedly it was £800 each for 2x Maxwell Titan X's and I then put hybrid cooling on each one, but they are still going strong.

I will second this post - a pair of these is still strong as an ox!

TitanXps arrived today. Some observations from playing around with them for an hour or two:

1) The usual "VDDC_Generic_Detection=1" still works for MSI Afterburner for unlocking the voltage. Like all Pascal cards, it won't pass 1093mV and even at +100 on the voltage slider it does dip to 1060mV at times (generally in response to the power limiter).

2) 2100mhz seems very achievable. This is timespy for a single card at 2.1: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/1535148 By comparison, I could get 11097 on a shunt-modded original TitianXP. So that's up to 11618 graphics score (without a power mod) which is a nice boost (although, as we'd expect, certainly no generational leap like with the 1080 or first TitanXP).

3) The coolers seem louder this time. Perhaps it's the additional airflow on the less obstructed backplate (no DVI) or maybe it's just my imagination, I don't know. Still, I do think it's worth getting them under water, especially with summer coming.

4) The TitanXp constantly bumps against the power limit when overclocked. Here is an example of the power during a normal benchmark: http://i.imgur.com/XYURpJW.jpg That's mostly as you'd expect - core held at 2088mhz and the power pinned around 120%. However, when running a monster 3000-man battle in Eve online just now, at 5K resolution, the power usage wildly spiked all the way to 150%: http://i.imgur.com/hQc2Pwj.jpg and the core was held much lower. I assume the massive power spikes are mostly errors on behalf of Afterburner but it's interesting that the effect reduced at 4k and disappeared at 1440p (where it held 120%).

5) It's a very fast card but if someone asked me what high end card I'd recommend them to buy, it would still of course be a 1080Ti. But it's another serious piece of hardware. Tweaking/modding/cooling will probably yield another 5-10% given the tight voltage/power limits.

Still dumbfounded how Nvidia can keep releasing these cards with shockingly poor cooling solutions, and no everyone buying a Titan doesn't want to put it under water
