New to itunes

Hmmm, all off my gatecrasher albums are not arranged correctly. When I view the cover flow all the individual tracks are listed as albums?! Also some art is shown on my ipod but not in itunes.

Go in the preferences (or tools or whatever you windows people call it), and under general, tick the box that says 'Group compilations when browsing', that should sort the Gatecrasher bit.

Can you also create playlists willout using the music in your library put just the music on your ipod?

At the top of the columns click on 'album' and it will change to 'album by artist'. This, together with making sure the 'group compilations' option is ticked, should eliminate all those extra album listings in coverflow.
