the blue "markpc" is the one my media plater can see but wont show any files.

when you right click and press properties what does it say.
Seems to me that your pc is sharing those files, all the computer names are the same.
Surely your media player should have a different pc name?

that blue icon does not have a properties tab on it.

just a explore and open or create short-cut

right,ive updated the media player and im still stuck.

the player now ask's for a password and user-name ?

i joined the me1 forum to get some help but people are saying leave the username and password blank and then it will let you in but it stilll says "logon failed"

i thought media players were easy to set up,ive had it nearly a week now and im nowhere closer to getting it to work as it should work.
