My setup.
2x1gb Ultra low latency PC6400 Ram.
E6300 C2D
GA-965P-DS3
7900GS

Ive got a few guides and have played around with the bios and some guides here somewhat, but im wondering if anyone has a simular setup who can start me off.

Why is my Memory freq going up to 900 mhz, i guess that not right.

Set the System Memory Multiplier to x2.0 til you've finished overclocking the CPU (press Enter on the option and go up or down the menu to get the x2.0 option).

This is what ive done so far. By putting the system memory multiplier back to auto i get Memory frequency of 800mhz.

Does it all look ok?

Keep it on 7 as that is the standard multiplier of your E6300.

Setting it to 7 will push your overclock up to 2.1ghz straight away if you go back up to 300mhz..

The System Memory Multiplier is running at x3.0 when set to Auto. Manually setting it to x2.5 will drop it to 750mhz.

But as I mentioned above, set it to x2.0 until you've finished overclocking your CPU if you're wanting to go past 2.1ghz.

Overclocking the CPU by increasing the CPU host right?
How far do you think ill be able to safely increase the CPU host before needing to increase the CPU voltage?

Yip upping the CPU Host Freq overclocks the CPU.

With your current 1.45v CPU voltage you can probably get upto atleast 3ghz.

So if i up the Host to say 300, making my mem freq at 600 while system memory multiplier is at 2, i can then run all my stress tests in windows to see how it goes, if all is fine then i can bump it up a bit.

Sorry, i am very new at this!

Not really. The manual says it's for enhancing the performance of the graphics card, but whether it actually works is debatable. I would just leave it on Auto.

Sorry for high jacking but I am in somewhat the same boat. When looking at CPU-Z my bus speed is at 340.0MhZ and rated FSB is 1360.1MhZ (both under CPU tab) my memory frequency (under memory tab) is 425MhZ.

Shouldn't my bus speed be the same as my memory frequency? Or the same as rated FSB?

If someone could clear this up would be nice :)

*EDIT*

Apparently this is true that way you get a 1:1 ratio which is superb. Got a 4/5 ratio atm so will be looking at that!

Couple of questions about what i have done.

What have i done by setting MCH voltage and FSB voltage to +0.1?
What have i done by setting the PCI express frequency to 100?

Also when im happy with my overclock do i put the system memory multiplier back down to auto? If i do do that then my memory freq goes well about 800.
