We cannot mention or talk about any OCUK competitors on this forum so you'll have to look for that sort of thing yourself. You say it's a PC you've "gone for", I'm assuming you haven't bought it yet? There's nothing really bad here, I know you're limited by what is being offered though.

So:

9800X3D
TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI
Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (2 x 32GB)
ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 5070 Ti OC
2TB SAMSUNG 990 EVO PLUS
1TB SAMSUNG 990 EVO PLUS
CORSAIR 850W RMx
NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB

speccing that on OCUK with no case is approx £2,300, you can ask them to give you a quote for building it if you contact them.

Do you need 3TB of expensive storage?
Do you need 64GB of RAM or would 32GB do?
Do you need a B850 motherboard or could you go with a possibly cheaper B650?
Do you need a Windows license?
Do you know what case you want?
Do you need a monitor & peripherals?

What do you want reviews/advice on specifically? The spec?

Without knowing exactly what you use the PC for, that's difficult to say.

PC builders also have their own prices for parts which don't necessarily reflect retail prices and makes it hard to say if they're good or bad value.

Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (Up to 5.2GHz/104MB w/3D
...
Graphics Card 16GB ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 5070 Ti OC - 2 x HDMI, 3 x DP
Generically, these are what you'd choose for a high-end 1440p or 4K gaming PC, though I'd put a 5070 Ti in the entry-4K category, even though it is plenty capable in most games.

Are there are any obviously bad choices? No.

Are there cheaper choices that offer the same performance? Yes. Particularly the TUF parts and the Kraken are very expensive choices at retail, but as I said, builders have thier own prices for this stuff.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I would love to haven a high end computer able to play games at 1440p or 4K. And to be able to handle this smoothly. And of course not needing to upgrade the computer for sometime. Ideally I’d like the computer to last me upwards of 5 years before any additional upgrades or modifications would be needed.

what case is the supplier giving you with your build?..cases can be expensive, and the fans inside also
overclockers uk, because they will build you a custom spec pc

yeah it's bloody expensive!
you should see the quote our external company that looks after our IT is quoting us for a few new work pc's...hp pc...intel core ultra 7 265k, 32gb ddr5 no idea what speed, 1tb ssd no idea which, 5070, win11 pro...£2265 ex vat, £2718 incl
and that's after i suggested getting a dell inspiron 14700f, 16gb ddr4, 1tb ssd with a 4060 for £790 ex, £949 incl (yup, would need to replace the ram with 2x16gb) but still...4060 plenty fast enough to power some 4k monitors for work..
we ended up going with a thinkstation with 14700, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, 4060 for £1415 ex, £1698 incl for £700 more than the dell i found
going through work procurement department is nothing shortof gettling fleeced

Who's building it, Bill Gates himself?!?

I have made a few tweaks and updates to reduce the price after reading through a few comments and talking with people.

I have probably over killed what I actually need. Essentially I just wish to be able to play any game that I want, running at high settings. 1440p or possibly 4K. Also no need for any future upgrades for a few years. A computer which will not restrict me in anyway for now. Hence why I went for some expensive choices. Also I’ll be using the computer for my uni work and courses. This is irrelevant but thought I’d mention it.
I don’t think I’ll experience any bottle necking with the CPU and GPU combo, I’ve checked some videos with this combination and it seems fine.

I already have a monitor sorted so that’s fine.

Anything I need or don’t need please feel free to mention.

Kind regards,

Jordan.

On the software side of things
If you're at university
Check if you can get windows, office, antivirus
For free or at a reduced price
Though windows built in antivirus is pretty decent nowadays
So that's not as important as windows and office
