Hey as title says im new to using a SSD and have just recieved my Crucial m4 64gb SSD today, ive been looking at different things on the forum and am now just about to go and update my firmware on my drive before ive actually installed anything on it.

What im wondering is what program am i best of using to back up my ssd with, i want to back it up maybe once a week to a internal 320gig hard drive i have it was a replacement for a samsung that died.

I only want to plug this hard drive in say once a week and back up whatever is on the ssd, so if my new shiny ssd does die/crash whatever I can simply plug in the old hard drive and then copy the back upto my ssd and all things going well not have to reinstall windows and any programs/settings i might have.

Is this a good idea and if so which program would you suggest I use to do it would the "back up ur computer" option in the control panel of W7 do the job well enought ?

Well the firmware upgrade went erm well i think, on the dos screen it said 0009 was installed. But on rebooting it seems its vanished from my bios menu im using a Gigabyte EX58-UD5, ive never updated the bios on the board its always run at 4ghz(i7 920) fine for the last nearly two years.
Did some swapping around my drive is now showing in bios when i load up W7 in my computer.

So i decide to try and install W7 unplugging everything else but dvd rom and the SSD, but even though drive is showing in list to be able to install too, its telling me i need drivers to install W7, done a lot of searching about people saying because ive partitioned the drive when booting my old W7 install is causing the problem.

But after using something from the MS help forum to wipe the drive again so it no longer has any partition, im still getting same message about needing drivers to install W7, can anyone help.
