As the title says, Im a total w/c beginner. I want my i5 2500k water cooled along with my 6950 crossfire but Im not sure on parts needed

From what I can figure myself I need a Rad plus fans, pump, tubing, cpu block, gpu blocks and/or crossfire block? and ofcourse the fluid.

I have a corsair carbide 500r case which has the cutout part on top for a 240mm rad so i guess that helps, I have a rough idea of how to go about it but before i purchase anything id like a little advice on kits and/or parts for the full loop.

I was thinking of a closed loop pre built thing like a H100, and accelero xtreme for the cards but that would be near the price for a w/c system id guess. Water cooling seems the way forward after the red hot weather a few weeks back

'm taking;

I'm just getting into it too. Can I ask why you aren't going for a custom loop? I think you'll see better temps and it will be fully customisable. That's the route I'm taking, though a lot more money is required.

I was considering a custom loop, but im very wary of doing it, just not confident enough to put water near my rig when i have no idea what im doing. Anyway, I have ordered the H100 and 4 akasa apache for push/pull and 2 accelero xtreme II for my cards next week.

I'd get rid of the h100 an go for an XSPC kit.

I promise you, you will NOT regret it!:)

I understand yor fears about water near your rig, but if you take care, nothing will leak :)

The H100 and apaches are on the way, Im happy to try that out. If it doesnt deliver what I want then I guess maybe Il have a go at water in future. I have a A50 cooler right now, im sure the H100 will knock spots off it.

Grrr, DAM U AUTOCORRECT >.<

It's not very good value for money as for a little more money you can buy a kit.

I thought the same. But my worries about water inside and me not knowing a thing swayed me towards H100.

Il go with real w/c next build, I pwomise :D

Nice :D

A enjoy the H100!

Also, we demand pics of the GPU coolers and info on whether they're 2 slot :D

Yeah mate il get pics up, cant afford the Acceleros til next week, so probs sat ur sun next weekend il get pics up, It says they are crossfire ready, and at the moment i have a good gap between the cards so im almost 100% sure it will work.

Well, until i see the H100 performance with push/pull apaches on it I cant tell if it was worth it, the more i read the more i kinda wished i just got a xspc kit.

To be honest if the H100 does well, il be happy, save w/c for the next build.

oh and Moogaly im a guy :P
