Hi everyone!

Then it comes to water cooling i am a newbie... I never done any builds with water cooling but looking on Overclokers website they sell EK water cooling kits.

I am interested to buy one but i am not sure if it will work with my case and other components.

I currently have CPU I5 2500K Fatal1ty Z68 Motherboard HAF x Case Full Tower and current Noctua NH D14 which i don't like too much and thats the reason why i want water cooling.

Would this EK H3O Watercooling Kit - Supreme HF 360 **EN Nickel Plating** work with my current components ?

Also how hard is it to install

The WC kits OCUK sells are universal (Assuming you order the right CPU block).
The Haf x is a massive case, so I wouldnt see why the 360 rad wouldnt fit.

Will you be adding a graphics card WC block later, or just keeping the CPU block?
If your just sticking to the CPU block, Id recommend one of the 240 kits, 360 will be abit overkill without a GPU or chipset WC blocks.

Fitting is just making sure everything it tight before filling with water.

Ill buy your noctua off you :) (obviously under the right circumstances and not just a random forum post outside of the MM)

I never installed water cooling before so i am not sure if the reservoir goes inside or outside the case since HAF x has those water cooling holes at the back but i guess the manual shows what to do lol. EK 30 comes with CPU block which is compatible with Intel 775, 1155/1156 and 1366 processors and i have I5 2500K 1155 so i think it will work. Just worried since it would be my first water cooling installation.

Also yes i will probably sell NH D14 It's only about 2 weeks old bought it from overclokers.

U can fit a 360 in the top of a Haf X and even if u was not adding the gpu in to the loop u would get better temps than a 240 and it gives u the option of adding the gpu later, they are kits and i think they come with instructions but they still requires some knowledge and planning to fit, read some watercooling guides to get a better idea of how things work ans do some planning as to where in the case u will put everything.

Well we all have to start somewhere. I personally havent installed a WC system, but I have all the parts apart from the pump ready to fit (been collecting parts for the past few months before OCUK offered the ready made kits).

Get a feel for how the fittings tighten and how far you can tighten them without kinking the hose. I leak test the fittings by just running some distilled water through and holding the other end until both pipes and the blocks are full.

Im suprised no one has come in here yet giving a break down of WC, but I bet youll get some saying that the Noctua is one of the best air coolers going and will probably do better than most WC set ups.

Right now i am getting about 27* on CPU temperature on idle but water cooling looks so much better from what i see in other peoples builds. I will be getting Asus GeForce GTX 580 Matrix 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card as well.

If i put the 360 i assume i would have to take out the 2 fans at the top of my HAF x 200mm ones ?

Yes here is a pic that nickrose posted in another thread of a 360 in the top of a Haf X.

Edit: Found this also.

How do I mount a radiator on the top?

HAF will support a 240, 360, or 280mm radiator with no modification. Remove the top 200mm fan, and use the 8 holes to attach the radiator. The top panel must be removed by pressing on the internal plastic clips within the chassis. Some extreme radiators over 60mm thick, or too heavy may run into some issues in support, although most 360mm radiators will be accommodated with no issues.

Thanks for the help both Krony and Rik1254 i will think about going water cooling a bit more it's really tempting looks nice but then again who knows how much difference with that 360 kit make on my CPU from Noctua D14 since i was thinking of putting 2x Enermax Apolish Vegas 140mm on Noctua they are faster then stock Noctua fans and higher quality and look good with the lights.

I have a pair of thoes fans in 120mm flavour and they did look nice but had quite an annoying bearing whine anything over 1200rpm really, not sure if i was just unlucky or they are all like that tho.
