Is there any truth that this was the winner in a under 10 competition to design a new logo for the party? :p ;)

Its hard to believe designers were paid £40,000 to come up with that monstrosity!

How much! That looks rubbish anyway. "Look at us, were environmentally friendly, because we have a tree in out logo!"

Edit; Well the squiggle looks like a tree to me anyway.

Rubbish, what was wrong with the torch they used to have, I thought it was good. Maggie has readied her handkerchief.....

:(

Hehe nice, the Conservatives who apparently are supposed to be in favour of small government, minimal interference, free market etc.....how do they reconcile that with the supervision and legislation which will be required in order to enforce their new 'green' policies. I await the answer with interest :p

Is this a joke or misintpreted article? Nothing on BBC about this, and nothing on the Conservative homepage
No, sadly it isn't a joke, the party are a big enough joke on their own, they don't need a logo to help them out.

Apparently the grass roots are none too happy with the money wasted on this. They ran a competition within the party membership and they came up with a very similar logo yet Camaroon decided that money needed to be spent.

The idea of an oak tree is a very good one, British, strong, dare I say it 'green'; it is just in this particular case it has been very badly executed.

First time Visage made me laugh :D

Its a logo, who cares? They paid for it out of party funding (probably a bit of tax payer money in there as well).

It isn't gonna make a blind bit of difference as to if they get in power at the next labour crucifixion.

Does look like the logo to a children's charity, but I don't care, I wouldn't vote for them if their logo was in bold, fire-blazened capitals with Jessica Alba and Rachael Stevens having sex in the background.*
