New Trainers

GF got me these for our anniversary

Just bought some Vans myself. I usually get Globe or DCs so will be interesting to try 'em. I wanted a dark pair that looked vaguely smart so I don't have to wear shoes (I have dodgy ankles that don't like 'hard' shoes). Bit boring and the one in the pic below looks like it's spent some time on the storeroom floor.

Very nice. Always prefer a chunky skater style shoe to a plimsoll style one. I'm going to check these ones out.

Also liked some Nike Air Vandals someone else posted.

I had a silver hi top pair way back in the day for one of my Christmas presents when I was about 10.

Unquestionably the best pair of trainers I ever had.

Can't believe so many people in here wear 'skater' shoes. It's only acceptable if you actually are skaters. Hate to break it to you but that fashion trend has been and gone, big clunky things on your feet just looks awful these days!
 
you can wear any brand you want if you like it, regardless of being a "skater" or not. O_o for example, i like the DC brand. but i also wear adidas trainers too.


just out of interest, what are you wearing as your current trainers atm Ewaf?

They really are keeping well.

To me huge big chunky skater shoes scream 1999 when everyone listened to papa roach and watched southpark. But yea, whatever floats your boat !
 
i've managed to pick up a pair of dc's that aren't chunky, i think they're more MX than skate. i must admit though, the globes just up there are pretty damn large ^^ next pair im getting are adidas of some sort, maybe derby's. or puma speedcat's in black and white. oh the choice :p

If I wore those globes in a size 11 I would look like such a pleb!

Yea the Nikes are really good actually, someone linked em earlier on and they were 32 in the sale, they are really comfy.
 
Had a result this morning. Picked up a pair of Airwalk Skater style shoes with nice grippy soles which will be ideal for MTBing and general casual wear. Reduced by 70% down to £25 in a black blue style. Nice and padded/comfy.
