New Trainers

Spent ages trying to find trainers that I liked that didn't have bloody suede on, they look good for a few months before I have to bin them because they look trashed. Most Nike Airs look like correctional shoes or have colour schemes that make my eyes bleed, so I resorted to Nike ID.

Wanted a pair of New Balance 420s but every design is suede and they seem cheaply finished - like the top bit by the tongue.

I never knew there was such a big demand for Adidas Londons. I was having a trainers clear out and threw 2 old pairs on eBay and they were sold within 24hours. Even got a buyer thanking me for selling them for such a good price... That's when you know you messed up on pricing.

supras are great

well untill after a few months of wearing they fall apart beneath your feet :(

My Supras always lasted me ages as long as I didn't skate in them.

Went through 3 pairs of the TK Society Highs, 2 pairs of the TK Society Mids, 2 pairs of Skytop II's and 1 pair of Vaiders.

Love them. Currently wearing Addidas Busenitz which i've owned 3 pairs of so far...

Yes I buy a lot of similar shoes

Have trainers suddenly become much more expensive in the last 3 years or so? I remember when they all used to cost £40-60 but now popular brands seem to start at £65!

Yep - people are wearing trainers as I have for years (as I'm hip and look good in jeans)

If you've got good legs and a pair of jeans that fit you (a rare 2% of the British population), you can make trainers + jeans + tee a really good look.

I mean...check this - https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/fc/55/96/fc559634c31ab3e231518226f6207479.jpg

Essentially, they have become fashionable to wear with almost anything aside from proper formal attire.

Affordability isn't a problem but I think at the price point it's barely worth it. They just get destroyed in a club and can lost instantly look tatty if you don't plan your entire schedule around keeping your shoes clean.

Forced to hunt the bargain bins 4 eva :(

A club? Mate, you're lucky if you get them in to a club before they are ****ed on by the great British weather.

Like a boss. I've genuinely spent £250 on Grenson brogues for daily work use and yea....OH HAI RAIN, COME DESTROY THESE BAD BOYS IN LIKE 5 MINUTES.

Another plus to living in Cali or Miami, can you imagine how long a pair of good looking 'sneakers' would last you..

Can't believe this thread is still around. I thought it was weird it was still being posted in 5 years ago! :p

Its great how it just became the trainers thread. :D

Not sure how it's weird :/

A good pair of kicks complete an outfit. I mean, how good do a pair of converse high-tops look on a good looking gal?
