They will serve you well with the 5-a-side freekick toe-poke supreme. I'm 11ish, they do start to look retarded when they get above a 9 imho.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Merrells? I had a pair when i was a kid but I just want somthing that can take punishment and I don't mind getting muddy and walking around in every day.

As if to prove a point, I just picked up some very nice AF1s in size 12 from footlocker for 19.99 in the clearance. Score.

I know your pain! (admitedly im only a 14 but its the same problem)

Iv been reduced to accepting that pretty much the only tainers im going to wear are black and white old skool vans or converse....

Converse, vans and ben sherman seem to be the only brand name trainers that are about in the UK. Managed to get boots/proper shoes but trainers are a nightmare. New balance do big sizes for sports shoes but hardly going to wear them to a club, and now the pound has fallen so sharply ordering from abroad is hopeless :(
 
I'm having a problem with a lot of my trainers lately, because of arch ache. If I don't tie them tight so they don't slip at all eventually my foot begins to ache really bad, if I fight through the pain it gets to the point I can't walk properly. But if I tighten them too much they look stupid :p Any ideas?

Slipons, velcro. Just don't get those vans slip ons I have, at night your feet will disown your ankles walk up your belly and climb into your mouth and choke you so they don't have to wear the vans slip ons again.
