New Tt case

Haha I stand corrected on my ' " error, I work in CM and M :p

You can get a 17" CRT for £50 now, not great but functional. TFT technology can not really get that low.

They have their place, but with the way everyone is jumping on the TFT bandwagon there consumer days were numbered a year or more ago.

Wow you need to get out more... :p

TFT's are the way forward though whichever way you look at it, they will only get better. My TFT plays games perfectly for me so there’s no reason to look at CRT's (that’s not ignorance)

SED's are the way forward, they have none of the disadvantages of lcds or crts and all the advantages of lcds and crts. They are crt monitors shrunk down to tft sizes so use the same technology but since there are some modificaitions they dont have any drawbacks of either, they have much better contrast (prototypes have even attained contrast ratios of 100,000:1) and brightness than both, can produce pure blacks, look great and are small, have crts colour reproduction, high resfresh rates, no native res, uses less power than both technologys, much better than lcds and crts, when they become mainstream we will probably see the end of lcds, plasmas and crts and because they use old crt technology they wont cost £££ when they are released.

Thanks, interesting read!

So a fair way off until they are the norm then, and nothing is 100% better than the old tech first try, just look at motherboards with new sockets. :p
