New TV Clouding

all LEDs will suffer from backlight clouding, but those photos above are pretty bad.

my new plasma still has text image retention after gaming and there's nothing i can do about it, i cant send this 2nd tv back, i just have to wait for it to fade or use the scroll bar, but i do find it very annoying...

My plasma has whites that are too bright, it's only on 50% but yes it does buzz.

the Panny plasma in my opinion is the best but it's still pretty bad, its motion artifacts are quite poor, it's nowhere near as good as my last RPTV or the old CRT..

i.e you see....blurred snooker balls/ footballs, blured smudged faces, red and green bands in the flesh.....the list of things you see is endless.

the tv gets brilliant reviews.....bloody hell they must be blind  you cant possibly miss its motion faults.

No one else has ever noticed these faults, and judging by your other thread it wouldn't surprise me if you had the settings all jacked up.

If your plasma has a worse picture than a RPTV you're doing something wrong!

hi guys,

i also have this tv, also bought in January, it was a refurb but at the price i paid i could not say no (£600ish). I noticed yesterday 2 dead (stuck) pixels but i guess i have to live with that.

i took these photos at 100% brightness

this is standby, screensaver mode btw, not sure if that makes any difference? what settings have you as there are quite a few to tamper with?

My bro in law had a Samsung UE55D8000 55" infact he had two of them and both were rubbish imo, they looked nice when off but that's about it. The picture was so aweful for dark scenes like you are showing he sent them both back, it also had bad posterisation from what I could see.
I have a Panny plasma vt50 so not the latest model now but I have to say I'm still blown away at just how good the picture quality is on it. For me until oled comes out anything over 40" I wouldn't touch a samsung led with a barge pole.

Op out of interest, when you take the pics of the clouding, what have you the screen set to see it, is it a fully black screen, if so is there a test mode for this, or are you pausing a blueray or something?
I've a 6800, never noticed anything like you have, would be intersted in the settings to see how mine looks in comparison at the same settings.
