Alright so still using it but so far, Classic CC seems good, although I'm not seeing double the performance gains of LR6 on my machine. As mentioned, for me LR6 was good as long as GPU acceleration was turned on. I'm seeing it a bit faster as moving between images and in the develop module itself.

I need to do a whole session of images to confirm just how much better than LR6 it is!

Photoshop CC 2018 loads slower than CS5 however, luckily you can have both installed, so I'll use PSCC for some things, but CS5 for everything else.

What is ur system spec? My performance jump was enormous, I'm on win 10, ryzen 1700 8 core at 3.9ghz,32gb ram, 980ti.

Its using the 16 threads a lot better on mine, especially importing and exporting.

Also my lr6 even patched had a memory leak I think... that after 15-20 mins it ground to a crawl.... This has finally stopped happening speeding me up no end,and i don't have to keep exiting and reloading etc

You've got more threads so maybe that's where the difference is?

I would imagine so - I read it was designed to take advantage of cores where possible - finally were seeing improvements with more cores at long last.

It's also quite likely they put in some Ryzen specific optimisation ?? Or at the v least ryzen fixes.

Either way, its worked, spectacularly over V6.

Looks like Lightroom CC has been updated yesterday with some missing features, namely split toning and tone curve.

Classic version is just fine so stick with it really.

Classic performance is awful for me. It is actually now slow to do anything, just took 5 minutes to import 4 D610 RAW files, whereas the previous version had no lag anywhere at all. Also GPU accelleration no longer works and just makes the develop module black. Not happy. Is there any way to re-install the previous version of you get it via Creative Cloud?

Definitely something wrong there - no such problems handling images from my D750, even on my late 2013 i5 MacBook Pro.
