New Vampire movie DAYBREAKERS

What?

What trailer did you watch?

From what I saw they became vampires due to the benefit of immortality and the only reason they are mutating is because they are running out of humans to farm blood from.

While I mis-read a portion about most of them wanting to be cured, it is a virus/plague, they aren't turned by choice.

"In the film Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one that has the power to save the human race."

"These vampires are fierce, violent, heartless – and worst of all, when they don’t have blood they become horrible creatures of the night. In Daybreakers, vampire become the dominant species and have been capturing humans to harvest blood from. Obviously, they’re running out of blood, so their leader Charles Bromley (played by the incredible Sam Neill) has a research team looking for a synthetic blood to sell on the market. Dalton on the other hand wants a cure."

Oh ffs. I was hoping, just once, that the story would be differant.

The idea of humanity turning themselves into vampires and harvesting the dregs of society is bloody brilliant. No such luck I guess.

Still looks like a good movie though, so will go and see it regardless.

Hell yes. Love vampire movies. But so so many are utter rubbish. This however looks brilliant and nice to have a different take on it for a change,.

I read that the cast and crew of this movie sat and watched John carpenters The Thing so as to try and get the feel of a John Carpenter movie. Anyone out there that has not watched The Thing I recommend you do as it is an all time classic with some of the best one liners you will ever hear, might freak out someone with arachnophobia LOL

anyone seen it yet? The Avatar 3d at my nearest Imax is sold out but a mate and myself still want to get a film in and this is our next port of call.

Yeah the original isn't in the trailer though.

I'm addicted to the placebo cover though

Listen to "Bitter End" off the same album :) Can't believe that's not been used for backing music yet!
