New Vampire movie DAYBREAKERS

I liked it, though they really tried to cram far too much mythology into the runtime.

The carnage at the end was surprising, and more than welcome in my opinion.

I thought it had the potential to be a much better film, the end would have been much better imo if they'd put some of "cure" into the production line or whatever. Reasonable idea, badly executed imo.

Even though I wasn't going to see this, my mate had tickets so I went along.

Thought it was poor really, the plot was very weak. The first half of the movie was quite interesting as it offered a different perspective on the Vampire theme. However I felt the second half was very poor and the plot was very weak and just plain silly at times.

Do not recommend unless you're a Vampire movie lover, even still don't expect anything memorable in the slightest.

Yeah I'd agree with that. It would be interesting to see another story set in a Vampire dominated world. They just went about this one all wrong, tried to make it too "mainstream" I felt.

Sometimes I was not to sure if the film was trying to be deadly serious or a hint of comedy was trying to sneak in, cant put my finger on it but just how i felt.

Like the link above :p

Blade a way better film as it happens :D

Just got back in from watching it, thought it was ****.

Story was meh, just loads of stuff crammed in there. Wasn't good at all to be honest.

Was an average movie if im being honest..saw it last week and didnt think much of it really..it wasnt terrible but neither was it really good.

A bit of a garbage flick. It seems the best and most dedicated member of the production team was the casting agent. I have never, ever seen so many good actors, do so badly, with so little, for so much money in what would otherwise be a Dolph Lundgren or Wesley Snipes straight to DVD movie.

Saw Daybreakers on Monday; best film I have seen in a while and I saw Avatar at the iMax. Although not as spectacular and engrossing as the later and let me say I am not a vampire movie fan, I found it quite a profound piece of fun.
Total thumbs up from me.

I personally loved it!

Does anyone remeber the quote that Willem Dafoe says when he walks into the safe area?

Something like

"Is it safe?"

"About as safe as going bareback with a 5 dollar hooker"

???

Which means you will have a high chance of catching aids/hiv or some other nasty sexually transmitted disease!

I thought it was very forgettable - I'd really not have been surprised to see it go straight to DVD. Shame really, considering the cast.

Long, drawn out and crap.
The novelty of a vampire society wore off after about two minutes or earlier, and the 'twist'/other singular half-orginal but somehow unsatisfying idea wasn't worth constructing an awful movie around either.
Didn't bat an eyelid at the hooker line, just wish it never happened. Pathetic piece of cringeworthy dialogue, cliched to ****.
