New vista updating making cpu 5-10.c hotter

Is this just me ? I forggot to turn off auto updates but after it updated today my cpu seems to be hottter then usual and system restore doesnt seem to work when I try and restore before the update which is the only save point I have

any ideas?

I was using it a hour ago at 31-35.c idle (which it normally is) before it updated and now its 38-41.c idle so pretty sure its the vista update

I highly doubt a Vista update is going to make your CPU run hotter.

Nope only from 1-6%

cant be vista, maybe some vents are blocked/fans not working?

It's gotta be a coincidence -- or your mind playing tricks on you! I, like the other commenters, can't see any way a software update can increase your CPU temps (unless they cause extra load on the processor -- which it seems yours isn't).
