New wallet needed - suggestions?

Old and battered now, but it's served me well.

I've got some cheap blue harbour leather wallet...Lasted me something like 4 years so far, still going strong really, it's a zip up wallet with a coin compartment, three 'official' card slots (which hold quite a few cards once stretched out, then three other compartments for whatever...I normally put a spare battery and spare memory card for my camera in one of them when i'm away :p

Oh and obviously the note compartment.

samsonite wallets wear extremely well.
i've had mine for over a year now and it's not worn out at all
they're not cheap, but they're really good quality

use 2 , one for cash, one for cards. If you have enough cards it's the way. But consider that the ratio of each card being used to the number of cards decreases as you carry more cards. I.e. if you routinely carry 26 plastic cards about with you chances are you don't use all of them. Are you somebody who carries around your plastic NI card?

a year! bah!

my cheepo black leather wallet is at least 10 years old and looks fine.

It's to try and show off and be 'cool' because you have some cash.

What, so if you actually use the wallet to do what it's designed to do, i.e., carry your money, you're somehow showing off? How does that work, because I know that when I have a wad of notes in my wallet it stays in the wallet until needed and is not flashed about in order to gain some "cool" points.

Could the same be said about someone who has no cash in their wallet but then uses flashes a 'Black' credit card when paying?

Get a jimi, a nice design and cheap. Although it would perhaps force you to rationalise the number of cards and amount cash you claim to carry.

Calm down dear.

Easier said than done and their not all credit cards btw!

As follows:

Main bank debit card
Joint bank debit card
Main bank credit card
Joint bank credit card
Coop loyalty card
Tesco loyalty card
Work id card
Drivers licence card

And to be fair a couple of other cards which are only used rarely but why not keep then in your wallet if you have room?

As for cash, cashpoints are few and far between where I live so I tend to take a weeks money out in one go.

Have to be pretty ruthless. Perhaps unwanted hassle keeping track of transactions but could cut down to one credit and debit card by transferring money between accounts. Do you need your work ID to get into the building? Do you need your drivers license to prove your age?

Anyway, not been mentioned yet, Poketo have some interesting (/rather odd) designs.
