New Warcraft Guild for OcUK

Based on the current guild line up, Rogue is definitely the most underplayed so can't go wrong there. End of the day though, play what you will enjoy the most.
I spend 6 years playing a Rogue, and am really enjoying playing a different role as a Paladin now.
 
How good is a monk as a healer? I used to play a couple of times as a priest healing tanks in dungeons. Good fun but painfully slow to level.
 
Not entirely sure how good they are as healers but if you start one get it to 15 and spam dungeons. 99% of the time you will not have to wait for a group to form and you will soon get used to how a Monk healer works..

Dungeon spamming these days is insanely quick levelling. From memory as a Monk, healing will be 1 button until 30's then you'll get another spell, which is a 3 stack combo point heal (you build up combo points using your base heal). Mid 40's you get spinning crane kick which looks cool, and dependent on the level of tank you get (1-60) you will just need this and maybe the lvl 15 talent to keep people up.

They are excellent healers, if a little boring in PvE play, they can excel in pvp however and can be down right impossible to kill (even without looms).

The monk class is a very clicky class to play well, its not an 'afk' class if you know what I mean.
 
the big bonus to monks is the daily xp boost you get from level 20.

Each day you can complete a simple quest by chanelling your enlightenment spell. This takes you to Kun Lai Summit, do a quick daily and you get a 20% XP buff (which stacks). So even if you dont play your monk much you can stack up a few days worth of the buff and have 3 or 4 hours worth of xp buff ready to go by the weekend :p

Monk in looms is by far the quickest way to level outside of RAF
 
still not at 10 but i'm always going to be a casual guildie if there are other casual guildies around I plan to do only dungeons from 10-30 if I can manage it.

Monk is great fun for healing, getting in close to do bit of dmg also makes it more interesting. Altho dont forget to heal its easy to get carried away punching !
