"The sexiest watch you’ll never see.."

Tongue in cheek or horribly unthought through title?

Edit: I like it.

It works on the same principle.. it mechanically raises the segments by 1mm each, effectively making it an always-changing brail-face.

Except it's in the shape of numbers, instead of brail, so really it's a gimmic, and not a tool for the blind.

Really? Where does it say that? I assumed it would give a brail version of the numbers.

If your blind it might be helpful  My dad is partially sighted and he'd be lost without his watch, probably wouldn't even catch the bus:D

Yes, not saying it wouldn't work.. but it might attract unwanted attention from yobs; or even some people would rather have something they can feel, It's a personal choice I would imagine.

"The face of Sentio exhibits a pair of 7-segment displays that would normally be found on digital alarm clocks, watches or any other digital numerical display"

Does that not suggest to you that it's just like on a digital clockface? with an 8 with each segment being lit or not depending on the number to be displayed.

It has the normal digital "8", but instead of the segments lighting up, they rise up.

e: Too late :p
