Would appreciate some advice on new WC build below (I have a CPU block and will be getting a GPU one).

I'd like to add something to drain easily and thought that the pump on the combo would probably be sitting the lowest. I was wondering if it would be possible to add some easy drainage to this and what parts I need if anyone could advise?

I have too many fittings I know but thought some spare may be good.

I'd advise swapping out the primochill tubing for some mayhems as well, stays clearer longer and is easier to fit

Definitely as the primochill isnt actually 16/10 tubing (metric) but is made to imperial measurements so actually is 9.15mm ID x 15.75mm OD which makes it a pain to fit to metric fittings unless you use primochill fittings.

Yet conversely Mayhems which is quite often listed as 3/8" to 5/8" tubing is exactly 10mm ID x 16mm OD so isnt imperial and is made to metric measurements.

Watercooling is a nightmare with different manufacturers around the world making bits as metric or imperial but the sellers list 3/8" x 5/8" as 10/16mm and vica versa when they clearly arent and it does make a difference!!!!!

As for staying clearly longer there is nothing in it. The mayhems has a bluish tinge and the primochill a yellowish one when new. In tests after 3 months both were the same.

EDIT: BTW EK fittings and tube are metric :)

This, you only have to look and see this is about the 3rd thread in a week or so with questions or issues around using metric and imperial together. Safer to stick with the same brands, tubing is pretty much the same so i'd decide on the fittings first and go from there...

Ok so basically changed everything to XSPC to be on the safe side.

Mayhems with Ek should be fine. They are both metric.

As smffy said I like alpha cool fittings the best for my build so once I ordered them I ordered their tube as I didn't need to research anything to make sure it fitted.

You don't need to go xspc just cause your are is, has nothing to do with fittings.

So pick your fittings and then tube to match is normally the best choice
