New Website Idea

Not at all :p. Was just curious to see what amazing websites are earning sparkey between 71k and 119k a year.

I think, though, my curiosity has been answered ;).

No idea but hopefully better than the site in his sig where every link in the footer is broken :p

so your website is available for all to see who find it via ppc on google but you cant share it here with us because we might rip it off ?

i smell something and it aint pleasant

Well most PPC campaigns that are run long term ARE profitable. So if you see the same ad repeated all over the internet you can be sure that it makes money. The point is that most niches with a lot of volume are heavily saturated (accai berry, weight loss etc) and you need literally $xxx, xxx per day to have a crack at them.

At great expense I have found a niche which is relatively unsaturated so I'm not going to give that away so others can move in.

In 2007 I had a very profitable campaign selling HDMI video cables and there is no way I would have revealed it on forums back then. If other marketers knew of the niche it would be burnt out in days.

but by the fact that you make so much money would mean you get LOTS of people to your site

are you telling me that none of them would rip it off but we would ?

I'm clearly giving you too much credit but I've already told you I make several hundred from a single page so you would be pretty stupid not to try.

FYI you don't google "weight loss", click an advert for some BS product and then think, "Gosh i should really copy this website because it might make money". These people have no concept of what affiliate marketing even is. Even you should realise this.

You might as well stop going on about it because I have nothing more to say on the matter.

Am i right in thinking it's something like....

Referal for selling say something on amazon? Find a product that you can get SEO for to get it ranked nice and high.

Create a website with a review with your referal link in it, and chuck adsense on the page for extra income?

If it is then you are lucky you get one you can make money of for a short time, it's very hit and miss

That in a nutshell is what he's doing. He's found a niche of a product or service that has good referrals, and is under represented online. People searching for this product or service will likely hit his page due to low competition, hence high google rankings and therefore decent traffic. I'd suspect something relatively high volume, and not particularly exciting.

Friend of mine did this years back, but with automatic software that generated millions of pages with typos of common things like "Brittney Spears nakid" and directed the traffic to porn sites. Made **** loads.

As to the original poster. Something like what you want is a labour of love, if you can do all the work yourself you'll probably be able to make a residual income out of it. If you can't make it yourself, then expect to pay £10k upwards (i'd say £25k) to have someone make it. You might get £100-200 a day if it's successful in ad revenues before operational costs. There are tons and tons of sites out on the net that do this kind of stuff, and they are generally free so you can't even monetise it. You might be able to add a gambling element to it and prizes, but that's a massive headache of legislation.

I don't believe you're making anywhere near $300-500 a day from it (i.e. turning over $100-180k lol), but you've intrigued me enough to take a look - thanks :)

If I showed you the landing page you would not believe it made $500, if i showed you a clickbank statement it would be fake...

Fortunately I don't care what you think. Enjoy your 9 to 5.

Who said we worked 9 to 5? Our reply times should give you a clue as to our employment regime :).

9-5? I wish :p

Also show a clickbank statement if you like, i wont be calling it fake.

After reading the sites you listed i am still none the wiser. Would you mind me trusting you to ask some questions.

I don't think ill be going for it, but i would like to know how it all works

So you are saying you're taking $100-180k from it a year then? Yeah, right :p

I don't disbelieve you're making money from it, just the magnitude. We're all prone to maybe overestimating our earnings from time to time, and I'd respect you more if you just told the truth and said as much.

On the salary that I take out of the business of course I pay tax. This is going completely OT now.

you do realise you dont just pay tax on salary you draw but all profits from the business ?... ie, you cant mound up cash in a account and not pay tax even though you have not 'drawn it to salary'

you pay tax on turnover - cost of sales / services whatever... so your salary has nothing to do with it

your statement does cast many doubts on the magnitude of your claims...

if you are seriously making that much money, you will have to pay full tax on it, and if you try and sweep it under the carpet you will at some point goto jail :)

just some thoughts...

what % are you paying to IRS / HMRC ?

are you a sole trader or a ltd company ?

i'll be honest and say that at one point i found a way to get my sites listed on a few places for a certain service (it was nothing bad just like say key cutting service) which had google adwords on them mixed in with content. that was earning me approx $300 a day from google adwords but that was on best of days, sometimes it was around $120 and usually $40~. this only lasted a few months though so i made ok money i think around £1500 in the end for doing very little. i remember one friday night around 1am i posted the jobs thinking it'll be like the usual $40, then Saturday when I woke it was at somethig like $60 already, then by time i went to bed around $300, then sunday it finished around $250, then monday around $150, $100, $50 etc, and that was just for 5 minutes work on Friday night. was really amazed.

wish i could do it again but it wasn't fair to be honest and not very lasting, however it was easily doable from finding something that others had ignored and you could easily get visitors for. i can also understand not wanting to give a link as from what i did you could easily copy what i was doing and then i'd lose out.

flukester: this is correct and i initially had doubt as if he didn't know the tax thing it's probably because he isn't earning the money he says he is, but then i think back to when i earnt the money, i never considered how much i'd lose in tax as i wasn't earning it the normal ways in business which would teach you these things.

Some people are so closed minded. I personally pay income tax on the salary I take from the LTD company which as it happens is minimum wage.

The business of course has corporation tax to pay but that is not a personal expense for me. It is taken care of by SDJ so I'm sorry to say I will not be going to jail.

Appreciated. For a minute I was tempted to upload a video of my central London apartment and some statements but then my senses got the better of me.

No one is going to give the specifics of what they do but you just need to go to the sharing point on iranjava and read some of the ebooks. then think about how you can put a new twist on a tried and tested method.

I'm not saying it is easy but once you can make $1 a day, every day then you are set for life. From there you just need to optimize, outsource and repeat.
