New Windows Live Essentials beta

Uninstalled mine

I had crashes, i didn't like the fb thing. I clicked on someone's name when they were offline and it took me to facebook. It used a lot of memory (i have 4GB ram so it doesn't matter but still)

The only benefit i saw was the tabbed convo's.
I couldn't see my webcam.
Emotions were horrible
Stupid adverts
I didn't like windows live - the few changes they made lol
Things seemed more confusing, like i right click on my task bar on msn and i used to be able to change my status, but not no more.


Though now windows live mail is been stupid on the 'current' version so i can't open it
 
Just installed this to give it a try and it's as slow as hell. Scrolling through contacts there's like a 20 second delay, find a contact and another delay before the chat window opens, close the chat window and yet another delay.
 
Remember people, this is a beta. Instead of just uninstalling it, let them know about the bugs :p

At first I was thinking 'Brilliant' because it's merged facebook, Means easier posting status' and also chat from one piece of software. But its just a pain in the ****.

You can't change your display name and your personal message is whatever you have on facebook.

For anyone who doesn't use facebook or who has no intention of merging the two together, then at the moment there is no reason to update.
 
So, i just reaslised this was out.

I'm not all that fussed about having a facebook feed, but it would be nice if i could add things such as tumblr and flickr. Do they allow the adding of custom feeds like this? or am i stuck with just facebook?
 
Bit of a thread Necro, but I only upgraded today to try it out.

What's wrong with a Messenger Program just being a Messenger Program?
If I want to know what's happening on Facebook or in the News I'll use my web browser.
