So it seems my Logitech MX Revolution died this morning, the flashing red light on the charger is telling me it isnt charging properly and i've cleaned all contacts with alcohol wipes, new plug socket etc.

Its out of warranty, so what does everyone think, get a new one (they are great) or get a new mouse? Im not a fan of Razer FWIW.

I got it from a logitech refurbs place for £30, so i very much doubt it - but you do have a good point, it cant hurt to double check. Has anyone got an MX1100? I just had a bit of googling and one of these popped up.

Yes if it red light then it complete worn out as battery getting weak -- I own the MX Revolution since early 2007 that keep going all way, no problems - I usual recharge when i check the level to 1 then put into charger and fill it up full

it good mouse Im still using and maybe I get new one in the future if my mouse give up

I had the same problem with my MX revolution a while back. Red light was on even thought it had been in the charger overnight.

I ended up getting an MX1100 (dabbled witha G5 before that) and it is the best mouse I have ever used. Its more comfy than the revolution, no annoying thumb wheel (but there is a hidden button for application flip), same awesome wheel (with an added mechanical button for switching between modes, so wheel click is normal), better sensitivity and generally better. I am using the AA battery version and one set of batteries lasts me at least half a year. Brilliant mouse - would recommend.

I've just returned my 2nd MX Revolution, both developed charging faults within 5 months. After a bit of googling it appears the mouse inside the battery has a poor connection with the contacts and can be solved by some soldering, or banging it VERY hard. Banging it solves the problem for another month, but gave up in the end.

Mamba here I come!
